Your Work Experience
Required for all applicants

Do you have experience in construction supervision?

This qualification is assessed in the workplace. No previous NVQ is required, but you must be actively working in a supervisory role within the construction industry — not studying towards one. See the NVQ Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision entry requirements.

Experience criteria

Current role

You must currently be working in a supervisory role on a construction site, whether employed or self-employed.

No previous NVQ required

You do not need any previous qualifications or NVQs. Your current, practical construction supervision experience is what matters.

Exception — aged 24+

Over 24?

If you were 24 or over on 31 August 2025, you may be eligible for full funding, but only if you earn less than £25,750 per year.
