The CSCS Gold Supervisor Card

How to get yours

1

Choose the NVQ that matches your role

Level 4 site supervision or Level 3 occupational work supervision — the table above shows which fits.

2

Complete the NVQ on site

No exams and no classroom. Your assessor gathers evidence of the supervision you already do.

3

Pass the Supervisor HS&E test

Booked through CITB and taken at a test centre.

4

Apply to CSCS

Once you hold both the NVQ and the test pass, apply for your Gold Supervisor card.

Validity & renewal

The Gold Supervisor card lasts 5 years. To renew, retake the Supervisor HS&E test — you don't retake the NVQ, as the qualification doesn't expire.
