To meet the standards of this assessment, a typical ceiling fixer should understand the process of erecting one of the following:

  • Armstrong lay-in grid ceiling system
  • SAS lay-in grid ceiling system
  • the metal pan ceiling system

The ceiling fixing assessment & training course must contain proof that the candidate has an obvious understanding of the general Health and Safety of the construction site. Thus, a ceiling fixer should demonstrate the ability and knowledge to execute quality work in a safe manner, as described in the site policies.
