NVQ Plastering Level 2 requirements
The NVQ Level 2 Plastering assessment course is created for professional plasterers that have sufficient understanding in their field and those that are capable of demonstrating the essential Plastering practical skills as described in the National Occupational Standards.
An experienced plasterer is expected to know and be able to demonstrate the following skills:

produce internal solid plastering finishes in the workplace
The Plastering NVQ assessment & training course will contain a collection of facts which show that the learner has an obvious understanding of the general Health and Safety of the construction site. Thus, a skilled plasterer is required to prove the expertise and knowledge to accomplish work safely, according to Method Statement guidelines.
The NVQ Level 2 Plastering assessment & training is designed for those who have significant knowledge in a real-world setting that shows their capability to achieve the Plastering Diploma.
This assessment program allows them, the plasterers, to demonstrate and acknowledge their experience, abilities, clear understanding and expertise. It also gives them the opportunity to show his or her skills in a real work environment to ensure that they can perform Plastering duties within the construction industry.

NVQ Assessment Process
When you have applied for the NVQ Level 2 Plastering course, you're going to be appointed a dedicated assessor for the NVQ assessment who will provide assistance and advice to help you achieve your certificate throughout the plastering assessment and training course.
Our expert assessor is going to conduct the On-Site Assessment & Training (ASAT) course, which means that no days off work are required. Your assessor will arrange a visit to your site on a day and time which suits you. Usually, it takes 2 meetings with an assessor to gather the required evidence for the plastering NVQ on-site assessment, but this may differ, depending on your ability and effort to cooperate with the assessor.
Assessment Timescale
Prior to starting the NVQ Plastering assessment course, you'll go over all aspects of your employment situation with the assessor to confirm the assessment end date. As soon as you can agree on a realistic as well as the attainable completion date, the assessment can start.

Do I need to do CSCS H&S test once I have completed the NVQ course?
To apply for a CSCS card, you must have a valid H&S test, passed within the last two years.
As of 2nd September 2019, all applicants who apply for the CSCS card with the NVQ Diploma are required to pass the CITB Health, safety and environment test. You can read more about this change by following this link: https://www.cscs.uk.com/about/faqs/?faq_category=983
How can I verify your company accreditation?
Up Level training centre is officially registered and accredited by several nationally recognised organisations such as National Specialist Accredited Centre (NSAC) - CITB Division, Pearson (Edexcel) and Open College Network West Midlands (OCN) as NVQ assessment and training centre for construction-related qualifications.

Can I skip levels and get higher NVQ level qualification?
Yes, you can skip levels as long as you can prove your competence in your field of expertise.
Can I fail the NVQ assessment?
Before invoicing and registering you with the Awarding Body, our assessor will carry out screening of your knowledge and overall work experience to confirm your ability to cover the assessment criteria for the qualification. The assessment cannot be completed without your participation; you must be motivated and be able to co-operate with the assessor to achieve the qualification.
How soon can I apply for a CSCS card?
The assessment timeframe might vary depending on circumstances of your employment status and ability to present evidence of your work practice. Typically, you'll discuss all aspects of your circumstances with your assessor before commencing the course to confirm the potential completion date. Once you can agree on the realistic and achievable completion date, the assessment can start.

Can I register for the NVQ course without National Insurance number?
Yes, you can register for the course without NI number.
When can I expect my NVQ Diploma/Certificate?
Once your assessment is completed, and your portfolio submitted to the awarding body for the achievement, typical waiting time is 5-7 working days. The actual wait time might vary from case to case depending on awarding body's workload. Our sales dep will release the certificate upon receiving the final payment.
